Returns
What happens when a customer wants to exchange a purchase or purchases?

Posterita lets you manage the return flexibly - and knowledgably.
|
|
For example, if customer satisfaction is so important to you that you're willing to accept returns even without proof of purchase, just press the new returns icon from the manage sales menu and choose the product or products your customer is returning.

On the other hand, if a clever customer bought items during a sale and is attempting to return them at full price, you'll know from the purchase record and may decide only to accept returns when the customer presents a purchase receipt.
You'll know everything about the sale just by setting up the system to display only Sales Returns By Doc No. When you click on the icon, you'll be prompted to enter the document number.

Then you'll have all the information you need to handle the return the way you want to.

Exchanges
If your customer wants to exchange an item or items, just select exchange, instead of checkout - and scan the item or items your customer wants as if the transaction was a normal sale. During the checkout, Posterita will automatically offset the value of the exchange item or items and calculate whether you need to give the customer a refund or collect money.

Customize your return and exchange policy
You can customize Posterita. For example, you can make it mandatory that customers present a sales receipt by having the application asks for the order number. As a result, you can prevent employees from accepting returns or exchanges unless a reason you stipulate is met.

Automatic inventory adjustment
When you do a refund or an exchange, the inventory of the store where the transaction was processed will be updated.
