From notebook to command centre

Stop losing units. Stop arguing about warranty dates.

A notebook can't find an IMEI. A handwritten receipt won't win a warranty dispute. Move off paper in one afternoon.

01
Serial chaos
Which phone came in on which container? Which unit did you sell last Tuesday? If it's on a sticky note, you don't really know.
02
Warranty he-said-she-said
Customer swears they bought it three months ago. You can't find the receipt. You give in: cash gone, reputation bruised.
03
High-value shrinkage is silent
One missing phone is a full day's margin. Without serial-level stock, you only notice at the next audit, when it's too late.

Serial and IMEI command centre

Receive. Label. Sell. Warrant.

Every serialised unit is a distinct record. From the container to the customer's hand, fully traceable.

01
Receive
Scan each IMEI at delivery. Supplier invoice auto-matches. Every unit enters stock with cost, serial and condition grade.
02
Shelf and label
Print shelf tags with barcode, price and warranty length. Display-unit serials flagged separately from box stock.
03
Sell
Scan the IMEI at sale. Receipt carries the serial, MRA QR and warranty start date. Trade-in captured in the same ticket.
04
Warrant
Customer returns. Scan the IMEI, see full history. Repair jobs attach parts against the unit. Every touchpoint logged.

Your daily reality. Solved.

Four things that eat an electronics shop's margin. Here's how Posterita handles them.

Unified catalogue
One product master, every store
New phone SKU added once at head office, appears at every store with the same barcode, price and warranty window. Campaign pricing pushes chain-wide.
Move stock, not paper
Inter-store transfers with serial handoff
Transfer a shipment of TVs. Each serial follows the document. Both stores see the same transfer; stock only moves when received and scanned in.
Warranty across branches
Buy in Port Louis, claim in Curepipe
Customer walks into any branch with their IMEI. Warranty pulls up instantly regardless of which store made the sale.
Chain dashboards
Top SKUs, top stores, top shifts
Daily revenue, margin, stock turns and shrinkage by store. Drill from chain to store to till to salesperson without switching apps.
High-value accountability

Every unit has a home. Every sale has a name.

When each unit is worth a week's rent, the control layer isn't optional.

Blind till reconciliation
Cashier counts cash without seeing the till total. Variances surface immediately, no silent drawer leaks.
Serial-level stock count
Cycle count scans every IMEI. Missing unit shows instantly, with the last known location and user who touched it.
Role-scoped permissions
Who can void, discount, refund, or override a price: lock it down per user. Every action logged with a name.
Exception reports
Voids, discounts above threshold, negative stock adjustments. You read only the exceptions, not the whole ledger.
Audit trail, always on
Every price change, every stock adjustment, every refund. Logged with user, device, timestamp. Exportable for audit.
Warranty and refund control
Returns require the IMEI and the original sale reference. No receipt, no refund: the system enforces it.
Reports that decide, not reports that describe

Know which SKU is making money. Know which is quietly tying up yours.

Serial tracking, warranty exposure, trade-in P&L, and attach rates. The reports that separate an electronics shop that grows from one that slowly drowns in aged stock.

Total Truth, the foundation

Before AI. Before dashboards. Before reports. Start with the truth.

Every action at the till is captured, signed, timestamped and store-scoped. Nothing below is estimated. It is drawn from the ledger your cashiers actually run on.

Every sale
who rang it, when, which till, which store
Every void / comp / discount
with manager approval trail and reason
Every till open & close
Z & X reports stamped by cashier and shift
Every stock movement
receive, transfer, adjust, count, signed
Aged inventory
Which SKUs have been sitting over 90 days?
  • Capital tied up per aged SKU
  • Last sale date and sell-through rate
  • Discount or clearance recommendation
Serial and warranty register
What's my real warranty exposure right now?
  • Active warranties, expiring within 30 days
  • Claim rate per brand and model
  • Serial lookup in 2 seconds at the counter
Trade-in P&L
Did that trade-in make me money, or cost me?
  • Purchase price, refurb cost, resale margin per unit
  • Stuck trade-ins over 60 days flagged
  • Category ROI so you stop the ones that lose
Attach and accessory report
Which store is winning on attach rate?
  • Accessories per phone, laptop, TV sold
  • Staff-level attach ranking
  • Bundles that convert vs. bundles that don't

Electronics FAQ

How does serial / IMEI tracking work?

Every serial-tracked product captures its IMEI or serial at the receiving step, not at sale. Each unit is a distinct record with delivery date, cost, and condition. Sale receipts print the exact serial the customer took home.

Can I look up a warranty by IMEI?

Yes. Type the IMEI into the warranty lookup, you see sale date, customer, warranty period remaining, and original price. Works chain-wide if you run multiple branches.

Do you support trade-ins?

Trade-in value applies against the new sale. The traded device enters stock with its own serial, a condition grade and a cost basis, ready to be priced and resold.

What about repair jobs?

On the Retail + repair skin, intake captures IMEI, fault, photos and a quote. Parts are pulled against the job from stock; labour is priced on the job. The customer gets an intake slip and a completion receipt with a repair warranty.

Is it MRA-compliant?

Every receipt carries the MRA QR code and invoice reference. Serial or IMEI prints on the receipt alongside the item. Audit-ready out of the box.

What hardware do I need?

A Posterita-certified Android till, a barcode scanner (1D plus 2D for IMEI), and an 80mm thermal printer. Add a label printer for shelf tags. Delivered and installed locally.

Stop losing units. Stop losing arguments.

Serial-level stock, warranty lookup, trade-ins, MRA receipts. Built in. Serve your first customer in 90 seconds.
